Vaccination is a critical element of your pets’ overall health care. There are a number of illnesses that require vaccination, and pets of different regions face unique risks as well. Ask one of our veterinarians today about possible vaccinations for your pet.

Flea & Tick Control

Fleas and ticks can prove to be a problem for you and your pet. Fleas may dig themselves raw until your pet’s skin gets infected, and ticks feed off of the blood of your pets. This is often not enough to make your pets sick. Ticks can also carry terrible diseases such as Lyme Disease, Ehrlichia, and more. Some dogs are allergic to tick bites, which causes a serious problem.

Fortunately for us, we offer prevention (or preventative choices) for fleas and ticks. These medications need to be given every month for the best results. We also recommend giving them all year round because fleas and ticks can cause problems no matter what time of year it is.

Parasites & Heartworms

At Springwood Veterinary Hospital, we emphasize the importance of preventing parasites. Through preventative measures, you can successfully protect your pet. Pets that are not protected often develop parasites, leading to serious problems for them and their owners.
